Hiring a MUAH

The general rule is for make up and hair to be fairly natural on model test. You are welcome to do it yourself, but if you'd like to hire someone the average cost for a MUAH is $200 but varies by artist.

A pro artist is not only trained to apply flawless, enduring makeup, they are also skilled in the art of making you feel at ease in every aspect of the process. They also understands how many different factors can effect your look and allow for changes to hair and make up for every look. They use a wide range of products from vastly different lines to achieve any look.

They come with you on location, and it’s nice to have an expert opinion and an extra pair of eyes to make sure you are looking your best throughout the session. Not to mention, I usually put them to work as an assistant.
